   Sirens can be activated individually 

    Sirens can be activated countywide

Siren Activation Location:

   Sirens can be activated from the 911 Dispatch Center, Sheriff's Office or Mt. Vernon Police
                Department

Sirens are tested:

   Twice Monthly

    Tests are conducted on 1st & 3rd Friday @ 12:00 p.m.

    The type of signal used for the test is a steady tone

Sirens are activated for the following conditions:

    During a tornado warning using a steady tone
