The Mitigation, Recovery and Preparedness Grants division is one of three divisions of the Ohio Emergency Management Agency. The Mitigation, Recovery and Preparedness Grants division consists of three branches: Mitigation, Recovery and Preparedness Grants Management.

Mitigation and Recovery provides essential training and technical assistance on how to mitigate or prevent future costly damages from disasters, and offers programs that assist in the recovery process after disaster has struck. Its Preparedness Grants Management branch oversees the management and use of federal homeland security grants for Ohio 's 88 counties.

In addition to overseeing the three Ohio EMA branches, the Mitigation, Recovery and Preparedness Grants Division Director also serves as the deputy state coordinating officer during times of federal disaster declarations for the state of Ohio.
